On December 23 around 11 PM (KST), Seungri was traveling in a car after an event in Shanghai. His car was being chased by sasaeng fans, whose car rear-ended Seungri’s staff car in front of them. The staff car then hit Seungri’s vehicle.
YG Entertainment told enews, “Seungri was involved in a car accident in China yesterday afternoon. It was an accident caused by a car of fans, who were chasing after Seungri. The car hit a staff car, which then hit Seungri’s car.”
The agency added, “Fortunately, the accident wasn’t big and there were no injuries.”
“Following the accident, the Chinese police asked what measures we would take with the fans who caused the accident, but we decided to let it go.”
Seungri tweeted on December 24, “Last night small accident wasn’t anyone’s fault. Me? Totally fine and thankfully no one got hurt! Please enjoy your holidays and merry XMAS!”
