BIGBANG’s DAESUNG proved his popularity in Japan by firing up 34,000 local fans at his solo arena tour.

He kicked off “D-LITE DLive 2014 in Japan ~D’slove~,” starting from the concerts on June 11 and 12 in Yokohama Arena.

The two-day concert attracted whopping 34,000 fans, and he, who became a big hit as a solo artist, aroused much attention by being a producer in most parts of his tour.

He freely crossed over different genres like dance, ballad and medium tempo songs. His new song “Rainy Rainy” was unveiled, and it is said some Japanese fans broke into tears after listening to the sentimental ballad.

On June 11 his single “Rainy Rainy” was released, which topped major Japanese real-time charts like iTunes and mu-no. It also topped iTunes overall top albums.

The latest mini album holds two new songs including “Rainy Rainy,” a medium-tempo song in which DAESUNG was involved writing the lyrics, and an upbeat “HOT&COLD.” The other two are “Try Smiling” and “Look At Me, Gwisun”, which received positive reviews at his last year’s solo tour. All four songs are recorded in Japanese.

On June 12, some contents of the songs and title for the new album to be released in Japan on July 16 were unveiled. The title is “D’slove.” It is to hold 10 songs including “I LOVE YOU,” which was the theme song of the Japanese drama “I LOVE YOU” aired last July, and 4 songs from “Rainy Rainy”, along with others like the sentimental “LOVE.”

The DVD will feature DAESUNG enjoying his holidays in Hokkaido, along with the music videos of “Rainy Rainy” and “I LOVE YOU.”

DAESUNG, who successfully completed his first solo tour that was held 26 times across 20 cities, accompanied by 100,000 fans last year, will move on to Kobe World Memorial Hall, Marine Messe Fukuoka, Zebio Area Sendai, Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center Hokkaikitaeru, Nihon Gaishi Hall, Nihon Budoukan and Osaka Castle for the latest tour that will be held 15 times across 8 cities joined by 170,000 fans.
