TAEYANG’s title track “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” from his 2nd full album has been ranking #1 for 24 days since its release.
His track, on June 26, topped major music sites like Melon and Mnet’s real-time charts. It did yield its top position temporarily to other artists, but soon returned to #1, successfully prolonging its dominance on charts.
Many eyes are on TAEYANG to see if he can maintain the position, as a number of artists are releasing new songs on June 26.
On the day, Shin Hae Chul will release “The Only Promise” while K.Will releases “Day 1” and Jung Joon Young “Teenager.”
With the revelation of songs from a number of male solo artists, the dynamics of the competition is expected to become intriguing.
Apart from knocking down all domestic real-time, daily and weekly charts immediately after its release, TAEYANG’s song also ranked #112 on America’s Billboard 200, breaking the record for a South Korean male artist. He received a total of 6 trophies on 4 TV music programs as well.
