Before that, G-DRAGON drew much attention when his second full solo album was ranked in the 182nd place in “Billboard 200” in September this year, even though he has not released the album in the United States.

Plus, he proved his global influence once again by taking the ninth place in the year-end world artist chart in Billboard’s “2013 Year End Chart”, which was announced on the 13 this month.

G-DRAGON has been busy performing as a solo artist this year, achieving a great success as the top male solo singer in Korea, with the music of his second full solo album released this year. Notably, “COUP D’ETAT” attracted keen attention by participation of foreign musicians including Diplo and Baauer of “Harlem Shake”, who created a sensation on YouTube in 2013, in its production. It has enjoyed a great popularity during this year for expression of G-DRAGON’s unique character through a heavy beat and outspoken lyrics.

G-DRAGON has not only swept charts in and out of the country during this year, but also received a rave review as a huge K-POP phenomenon for his global appeal and sophisticated artistic sense, from a number of foreign media outlets such as “COMPLEX” and “New York Times”.

G-DRAGON has established his status as the top male solo artist with the success of his second full solo album. He has recently been performing in BIGBANG’s Japan six dome tour concert. There is much attention to what his next step will be, beyond his current popularity in Korea, Asia, and the world.
